IMB MICROSCOPY UNIT

A mouse uterine section in which the E-Cadherin can be seen in the luminal epithelium and glandular epithelium counterstained with DAPI for the nuclei. Acquired on the Zeiss LSM510 confocal by Gracy Rosario (Colin Stewart's lab).

Welcome to the IMB Microscopy Unit (IMU) website. Here you will find information on the organisation of IMU, its microscope instruments, training programs, workshops and operational procedures.

As well as standard widefield and confocal microscopy IMU focuses on five areas of advanced optical imaging:
(1) 3-D imaging
(2) F-techniques
(3) High Content Imaging
(4) Live-cell imaging
(5) Image Analysis & Processing

Our systems are located on level 5 (5.17) and 6 (6.18) of Immunos, Biopolis. To find out more on the microscope systems and computing resources available in IMB and their locations, please click here.

To arrange training on any of the systems please see here or contact Graham Wright (Microscopy Unit Manager).

Scientists in Biopolis are welcome to use the Imaging systems in IMB on a collaborative basis. For more information please contact us.
