Many groups heavily use and rely upon all the microscopy equipment for their research. It is crucial that every user to guarantee the smooth function of all systems. Please note that only users who have been trained will be allowed to book the systems.

New users should discuss their needs with Srivats Hariharan or Stephen Ogg to discuss which microscope will be useful for their application.

Users should only use those systems for which you have been trained.

Booking time on the microscopes does not guarantee assistance, unless this has been arranged in advance.

We are always happy to help if we are free.

Please clean up the Microscope, especially the objective lens with the lens tissue provided (never Kim Wipes) before finishing the imaging session.

Power down the system appropriately before leaving.

Please notify the us immediately in case of accidental breakage or any problems with the Microscope.

Make sure entire area is clean & tidy before leaving.

Users are responsible for their image files.

We do not backup your files.

In case of computer malfunction we do not guarantee data recovery.

On workstations, files older than 30 days are subject to immediate removal.
